We send out a Fund Drive mailing each fall, between August and September. The total mailing is around 10,000 to residents in our response area. We usually get a return of around 1,000 on the mailing. The responding residents are very generous to our organization, for which we are grateful. The Fund Drives are just one of the sources of funds raised to cover the operating expenses, which exceed $700,000 a year.
We DO NOT telephone or go door to door soliciting funds. If you are contacted by either of these methods by a person representing our department, try to get a name, description, vehicle type, and tag number if possible and contact us or the local law enforcement authorities.
